Yessssssss. Yes I do. Also for the sake of including everyone who’s reading, let’s say that yes, I agree that two lesbian women can be just friends, I agree that two gay men can be just friends, I agree that a straight male and a straight female can be just friends, and ALL the inbetweens :)

I think all friendships and romances start with an attraction. Maybe it’s looks, maybe it’s interests, maybe it’s voice, maybe someone cracked a joke and you think “hey that’s MY sense of humor!” We’re all attracted to different things and it applies just as much to a lover as it does to a friend. If this weren’t true, lots of people wouldn’t consider their partners to also be their besties. It’s all about companionship in differing degrees.

As someone who has close guy friends and close girl friends, I can assure you not all of them had an awkward conversation where one person said “hey we talk a lot does that mean you want all my bits?” It is perfectly natural for single friends to consider each other as prospects at first or to at least think on it for a moment. This doesn’t mean they aren’t open or intending on friendship; it just means that, even for a moment, they are open to whatever the relationship could bring and that’s perfectly healthy.

SO ERRYBODY, don’t feel ashamed or awkward about imagining your buddy nekkid or having a fun night and thinkin “maybe we could be a good couple.” It’s not a betrayal of friendship or trust. It’s normal and you can still be bros. Society tells us that only men have weird fantasies about their friends but ladies totally do it too puhleeze.

I dunno if that answer made any sense. Yes, you can be friends and if you have an awkard fantasy about boning that person, it doesn’t mean you ruined it. THAT BEING SAID: people appreciate when someone is upfront about their feelings. If you’re in a friendship hoping it’ll just naturally turn into something more and you’re unhappy with how things are, TELL THEM YOU LIKE THEM STOP BEING A WEENIE.

Dodger, being a girl and all I figured I'd ask you about how you feel on the subject of lip gloss vs lip balm (since you've talked about lipstick before). I like lip balm because it is not sticky but I feel like it disappears faster than lipgloss. What do you think?

I like the way lip gloss feels (because I bite my lips a lot and stuff so when I have gloss on, I don’t mess with them) but I don’t like that it makes my lips reflective to the point of causing car accidents. Balm is nice but, like you said, it disappears almost immediately sometimes because it’s supposed to nourish your lip places instead of coat them D: I guess I wind up using lip balm more but I do love them both…just wish gloss wasn’t always so…glossy.
